Melch Felarca, Founder & CEO
Melch Felarca is the Founder and CEO of The Michiko Collective and the visionary behind Michiko Salon, a premium salon brand known for its elevated standards, expert care, and refined customer experience. With over 18 years of experience in the corporate industry as an Organizational Development Executive, Melch built a strong foundation in systems, leadership, and people development — expertise that now defines the structure and success behind his salon businesses.

Transitioning from corporate to entrepreneurship, he evolved into a brand builder, successfully growing Michiko Salon into a multi-branch business by combining technical excellence with strategic thinking, strong operational systems, and premium positioning. His approach goes beyond hairstyling — focusing on building sustainable salon businesses, developing high-performing teams, and delivering consistent, high-quality results.
As a hairstylist, Melch is internationally trained and recognized, bringing global techniques and standards into his work. His contributions to the industry have earned him the 2024 Most Promising Hair Stylist in Asia award from the Asia Hair Glory Awards, presented by the Malaysian Hair Dressing Association.

He also collaborates with global leaders such as L’Oréal Professionnel, working alongside one of the world’s most respected professional beauty brands to bring innovation, advanced education, and world-class practices to the local market.
Through The Michiko Collective, Melch now extends his expertise beyond his own salons — helping stylists become authorities, empowering salon owners to build structured and scalable businesses, and partnering with entrepreneurs and investors to create premium salon brands from the ground up.
